One of the most common mistakes users make when Depositing to their Overtime Account, is depositing funds on the wrong network.
Overtime only supports deposits on Optimism, Arbitrum and Base networks.
BE CAREFUL NOT TO DEPOSIT ETHEREUM MAINNET FUNDS OR ANY OTHER UNSUPPORTED NETWORK!
If you accidentally deposited funds on your Overtime Account on the wrong network, there is a solution how to access those funds, bridge them to the correct network or withdraw them back to their source.
Users most common mistake is sending funds to the wrong network when funding their Overtime Account. Most common wrong network is often Ethereum Mainnet which is not supported on Overtime, so we will use Ethereum Mainnet as example in this guide.
Navigate to User Interface:
Log In to Particle Wallet (IMPORTANT:) using your same log in method you used on Overtime initially!
When logged in to Particle Wallet, select Ethereum Mainnet as network on the top left corner of the screen as shown in the image below.
Go to wallet settings button on the top right corner and select Smart Account
In Smart Account
page, flip the Use Smart Account
switch and then select Biconomy Account 2.0.0
as default.
Go back to the main wallet page by clicking the back arrow from the top left corner two times.
When you are back to main wallet page, you should be able to see your funds.
Now click on the Bridge button. The bridge tool will allow you to bridge your funds to the supported network, which will allow you to use them on Overtime.
On the first Select your Token
button, select your funds.
When you selected the funds, input the amount you want to bridge.
When inputting the amount, do not input Max
amount of funds. You will have to leave a few $ worth of funds ( e.g. $5) to pay for gas of the bridging transaction. Gas Fee price fluctuates, but it should not take more than $5. If it quotes more than $5, you should wait for gas price to come down then execute the transaction.
Select the destination Network
and select Optimism
when the menu opens.
Now select the destination token beneath on Select a Token
button, and find USDC
and select it.
Now click on the Confirm
button and then on the following popup, click the button Send
. After this the Particle Wallet will give you another popup to sign this transaction, click sign and the bridging process will start. After a short time (not longer than ~ 20 minutes), you will be able to see your funds in your Overtime Account.
IMPORTANT: ANOTHER REMINDER TO BE MINDFUL ABOUT GAS COST WHEN BRIDGING YOUR FUNDS.
IT CAN COST MORE THAN $10 TO BRIDGE YOUR FUNDS IF ITS . IF THE GAS FEE COST SHOWS HIGH ESTIMATION, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO WAIT FOR GAS TO COME DOWN AND THEN EXECUTE THE STEPS FROM ABOVE.
